The banque Franco-Lao was created in 2010 following the signature of an agreement between the French bank BRED Banque Populaire and the first bank of Laos, BCEL. The identity of Banque Franco Lao – BRED Group combines French know-how with a local presence. BRED Group was created as a cooperative bank by businessmen in 1919 and has kept this entrepreneurial spirit since its creation, as well as a strong involvement in local communities and in the promotion of new initiatives. It has become one of our institution’s privileged partners, actively participating in the financing of projects, and sponsoring numerous events for many years now.
Nam Theun 2
Nam Theun 2 Power Company Limited (NTPC) is the company formed by the Lao
Holding State Enterprise (LHSE) and private shareholders EDF Nam Theun Holding (EDF-NTH) and Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO) to build and operate the Nam Theun 2 hydropower project for the next 25 years. NTPC is dedicated to operating a world-class hydropower plant and improving the living conditions of the people living in the areas surrounding the project.
As a sponsor of several projects and events, NTPC regularly welcomes our students for tours of its facilities.
